The exercise, which will be held in June to test the response to a possible volcanic eruption in the Phlegraean Fields, will involve the municipalities of Naples, Pozzuoli, and Bacoli , and will simulate a population evacuation.
During a meeting with the mayors of the three municipalities and regional Civil Protection officials, the prefect stressed the importance of ensuring the accessibility of escape routes, which "must be free of construction sites and other obstacles ."
