New tension in Mergellina, where the deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli was threatened and insulted during a blitz to denounce the degradation and lawlessness in the chalet area.
Borrelli, together with the journalist Pino Grazioli, was in via Mergellina when some young people in double rows tried to approach him with a threatening attitude. The intervention of the escort avoided the worst, but the episode highlights once again the climate of tension that reigns in the area.
“The evenings of the movida in Mergellina continue to be characterized by widespread illegality, wild parking, chaos and anarchy,” Borrelli declared. “The protagonists of this shame are always very young people, often in an evident state of alteration, ready to start fights, insult and threaten for trivial reasons anyone who is unfortunate enough to come within range.
As happened to me for the umpteenth time and as happened to Francesco Pio Maimone who lost his life right here at the hands of a criminal who opened fire on the crowd. I will not stop until legality is restored to this part of the city that must be taken away from the violent and returned to the decent citizens”.
Tiktoker blocks traffic
Contributing to the chaos of Mergellina are also the actions of some influencers, such as the tiktoker Rita De Crescenzo. In a video published on social media, De Crescenzo is immortalized while she arrives on board a limousine and leaves it in the middle of the roadway, staging a musical show with lots of dancing and paralyzing the traffic. All without any intervention by the police.
Borrelli against De Crescenzo
“I find unacceptable what I saw in the video published on social media where the tiktoker De Crescenzo, champion of illegality, manages to stop in the middle of the road with a car that cannot go unnoticed, giving life to an entire improvised show with songs and dances while the traffic remains paralyzed, and then goes away as if nothing had happened,” commented Borrelli. “The lack of controls by the police and the military is now inconceivable in the face of the advance of violent people and criminals.”
