Fake mother and daughter arrested: they had robbed a jewelry store in Casagiove

They had left the province of Salerno for a robbery in a jewelry store in CasagioveThey pretended to be a mother and daughter interested in buying gold jewelry, then, taking advantage of the owner's distraction, they stole gold objects worth 7 thousand euros.

This morning, however, thanks to the viewing of the footage from the cameras inside the jewelry store, they were identified and the Carabinieri of the Santa Maria Capua Vetere Company executed an order for the application of coercive measures issued by the GIP of the Court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere, at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, against the two women (one under house arrest and one with the obligation to remain in the municipality of residence with the obligation to report to the judicial police) investigated for the crime of aggravated theft in competition.

And it was thanks to viewing the videos that it was possible to ascertain that the two suspects, residents of the province of Salerno and with specific precedents, had gone to a jewelry store in Casagiove on July 7, 2023, pretending to be a mother and daughter interested in buying gold jewelry.

Subsequently, by distracting the shop owner, they stole numerous jewels with a total value of 7.000 euros, hiding them in a bag.
