Work begins at Benedetto Croce: the school of the future begins. Councilor Elsa Picaro: "Thanks to all those who made all this possible". La Croce is among the 200 schools financed with approximately 7 million euros by the PNRR for demolition and reconstruction. Explaining step by step the path traced, together with the mayor Luigi Maglione, Councilor Picaro of the Democratic Party who, highlighted how only 70 Municipalities have started the work and among these Casavatore.

It all started following the two-phase design competition – Scuola Futura – promoted by the Ministry of Education and Merit in 2022. The main issue that guided the design choices was the desire to create the new school complex as a real civic and reference center for the community of children and their families. The design group was coordinated by the architect Luigiemanuele Amabile (in RTP with Archliving srl, arch. Salvatore Pesarino, Dr. Giuseppe Porzio, Dr. Gennaro De Fabbio) with the scientific consultancy of the architect Alberto Calderoni (researcher in architectural and urban composition at the Department of Architecture of the University of Naples “Federico II”).
