A man resident in Formicola, in the province of Caserta, was arrested by the Carabinieri on charges of stalking, on the orders of the investigating judge of the court of Santa Maria Capua Vetere. The arrest was triggered by the publication, on his ex-wife's Facebook profile, of several videos containing threats towards the victim.
The suspect was deemed determined to intimidate the woman, and his action was reported by the victim herself last March. The investigation coordinated by the Sammarinese Prosecutor's Office led to the collection of evidence, including text messages sent to the victim and videos published online, which clearly demonstrate the man's intent to intimidate. Family members and friends of the former couple also confirmed this intent.
The subject was then arrested and placed in prison pending further developments of the investigation.
