Il Common has delivered to the city the child care center created in the property taken from the boss. In thirteen months - from the demolition on April 17, 2023 to today's ribbon cutting - a symbolic project has been completed for a neighborhood held hostage for years by illegal building and lack of services.
In the presence, among others, of the regional councilors Bruno Discepolo and Mario Morcone, of the deputy prosecutor of the District Anti-Mafia Directorate of Naples Sergio Ferrigno and of the director of the National Agency for the administration and destination of assets seized and confiscated from organized crime Grazia Mirabile, the mayor Raffaele Bene and the councilor for Urban Planning Tommasina D'Onofrio accompanied those present in the new structure, which will be powered by clean energy, thanks to solar panels and will have spaces shared with the vegetable gardens and the garden.
"We have created an important service in a part of the city where services are just starting to emerge. Where there was crime, now there is life. Where there was the boss's bunker, there is the camphor tree. The neighborhood saw this building first with fear, then with disdain, now with joy waiting to host the children as early as October" declared the mayor.
