The police chief of Salerno has issued five bans against as many fans of the Salernitana following the incidents that occurred near the Arechi stadium during the Salernitana-Fiorentina match on 21 April.
The Daspo, which lasts 10 years, represents the maximum sanction provided by law.
On the day of the match, about two hours before the start of the game, a group of about 200 Salerno fans, with their faces covered and armed with bottles, firecrackers, poles and blunt objects, gathered in the square in front of the stadium stands with the intention of clashing with the Fiorentina fans. This resulted in clashes with the police officers present on site, which lasted about 20 minutes.
The investigations led to the identification of several Granata fans involved in the clashes. Among those receiving Daspos, who will not be able to access the stadium for 10 years, are: PV, 41 years old, resident in Salerno, with five previous Daspo orders against him since 2002; PG, 47 years old, resident in Salerno, also already a recipient of Daspos; VI, 42 years old, resident in Salerno; CV, 26 years old, resident in Mercato San Severino; and VJ, 26 years old, resident in Baronissi.
The investigations of the Police Headquarters Salerno continue to identify the other fans involved in the clashes.
