The President of the Campania Region, Vincenzo De Luca, answered journalists' questions about the dispute concerning the Marcianise plant of the American multinational Jabil. During a meeting in Grazzanise, De Luca stressed that industrial policy is the responsibility of the central government, but the Region is ready to offer support through incentives and aid for lifelong learning, as it has done in other crisis situations.
De Luca specified that the Region cannot replace entrepreneurs, but can support investments with initiatives such as bureaucratic simplification. He emphasized that Campania has committed to reducing bureaucracy, becoming one of the regions with the least bureaucratic obstacles to obtain environmental and industrial opinions.
President De Luca's statement comes after Jabil announced its intention to abandon the Marcianise plant and Italy, putting the jobs of 420 employees at risk. Attention to the future of the plant and its workers remains high, and the Region declares itself ready to intervene to mitigate the effects of the crisis and support the region's industrial sector.
