Ciro Pio Borrelli, 19 years old Forio d'Ischia already known to the police, he was arrested this night after attacking two Carabinieri during a territorial control operation.
The intervention of the Carabinieri was requested by a citizen who reported the presence of a young man intent on tinkering with his car. Arriving on the scene, the soldiers spotted Borrelli near the vehicle and, while they were trying to identify him, the young man violently attacked them.
In an attempt to resist arrest, Borrelli tried to snatch the gun from the holster of one of the Carabinieri. Fortunately, the intervention of the military was timely and the 19-year-old was disarmed and handcuffed.
Borrelli was then taken to the hospital for treatment and then to court for the validation hearing. The two Carabinieri attacked suffered minor injuries and were reported with a 5-day prognosis.
