Rino Foschi, sporting director and former sporting director of Napoli, expressed his opinions during an episode of "Si Gonfia la Rete" on Radio CRC hosted by Raffaele Auriemma. “Is it right to continue to think that De Laurentiis and Chiavelli are at the forefront of technical issues just because they took Manna?”, declared Foschi.

“Many things have changed in football. I have had many presidents, including Zamparini who made me work hard.

De Laurentiis is a particular president, he seems to want to manage everything personally. He suffered under Bigon and Giuntoli.

He feels like the owner of Naples, sometimes he is right, sometimes he is not. This is his way of being president, he will never change.

There are those who decide to work with him and those who don't."

On the subject of the right coach for Napoli, Foschi expressed doubts about Conte. “Conte will never come to Naples for many reasons. First of all, it has very high costs, and if he came he would like to shape the team according to his visions.

It would be difficult to see an understanding between them.”.

“There are many coaches who could do well in Naples. Italiano could be an interesting choice, but he too would have to submit to the president's orders.

It's not just a technical issue. Napoli has excellent scouting that brings players to the president.

If there is a good and less expensive player, the decision is up to the president.”

Foschi understood the discontent of Napoli fans in moments of failure. “This year has been special, everyone has to take their own responsibilities. I hope De Laurentiis will give us some freedom.

Italian is a coach who has never disappointed. For the good of Napoli, I'm rooting for him.

I don’t know if he could open the doors of the dressing room, he’s young, but he has his own personality.”
