The defensive strategy was read Massimiliano DiCaprio better known in the Neapolitan Camorra circles as Massimo a capretta but on social media in recent years he was the omnipresent director and owner of the famous pizzeria “Dal Presidente” in via dei Tribunali in Napoli.

Defended by the lawyer Fabio Visco (as well as his wife Deborah Capasso and the police inspector Guido Albano) has decided to avail himself of the right not to respond but to only release some spontaneous statements.

The accountant too Giulia Nappo (who is under house arrest like the policeman) has decided not to answer but to give only some spontaneous statements. The professional is defended by the lawyers Mariangela Locuoco and Flaviano Moltedo while instead she has decided to answer and deny all the contested charges Vincenzo Capozzoli ditto Enzo, my bad, a leading member of the Contini clan who is the brother-in-law and partner of Di Caprio (who was already in prison for Camorra association, defended by the lawyer Claudio Davino).

Along with the pizzeria, the financial police seized other assets with a total value of 3,5 million euros: seven properties, including Di Caprio's home in Piazza Sannazaro worth 850 thousand euros, several luxury watches, company shares and 375 thousand euros in cash.

The five are accused of fraudulent transfer of assets and self-laundering, aggravated by the mafia method and the aim of facilitating the Camorra, in particular the Contini clan: the investigation is coordinated by the Naples DDA with the pm Alessandra Converso and Daniela Varone.

Although Massimiliano Di Caprio is not affiliated with the Contini clan, he has numerous criminal and police records, in particular for theft, robbery, personal injury, evasion, possession and dealing of narcotics, and illegal gambling or betting.

He was also the recipient of a preventive measure as he was considered a habitual criminal, among other things being the brother-in-law of Vincenzo Capozzoli
he has been identified several times in the company of prominent members of the Contini clan.

As many as 18 informants have made accusatory statements against him, which are contained in the 150-page precautionary order signed yesterday by the investigating judge Giovanni De Angelis.

The order also contains the complaint of a video poker entrepreneur according to whom “Massimo a Capretta” is indicated as an operator in the video slot rental sector who “…had forbidden him to install or rent video slots in the historic centre of Naples, since this activity in the area was his exclusive competence, as established by the local underworld, in particular by a person known as “O’ Chicc” (Brunetta Manuel), a criminal from the Contini clan, arrested in Spain in the summer of 2013…”.

Thesis that seems to be confirmed by the repentant Yassir Atid, from the Julian clan of Forcella who a few years ago declared: “Massimo a capretta is the contact for managing bets and video poker and slot machines on behalf of the Giulianos. In particular, the management of bets on Italian and international football matches occurs in parallel with legal betting. This activity ensures the clan earnings of between 40 and 70 thousand euros per month. Once in October 2013 I saw Cedola Salvatore, Pappe Giuliano, Gigino “for example” and the other Giulianos talking to a well-dressed and respectable-looking gentleman who arrived on board a T-MAX motorbike, and I heard a sentence regarding the arrival of money relating to a transfer”.

This is also confirmed by another repentant Salvatore Russomagno, (belonging to the Mazzarella clan), who, in reporting the management of the unauthorized slot machine market in the areas of Forcella, San Gaetano, San Giovanni a Carbonara, Rione Luzzatti, indicates Massimiliano Di Caprio as the contact person for the Ottaviano group, operating within the Mazzarella clan:"...I can add that Monica Ottaviano manages the market of unauthorized slot machines in the areas of Forcella, San Gaetano, San Giovanni a Carbonara, Rione Luzzatti.

Russomagno of the Mazzarella clan: “Di Caprio sends 2500 euros per month to Paolo Ottaviano for the management of video poker”

He does it on behalf of Paolo Ottaviano. Alfonso Ottaviano and Massimino, known as 'a capretta, take care of the transport to the bars and tobacconists using a small truck. Massimino a capretta has a Snai betting point at the end of Via Duomo.

Unauthorized betting shop… Massimino in Capretta who is not our affiliate, but runs a betting center and has rigged slot machines. Massimino in Capretta pays Paolo Ottaviano to avoid having trouble from the Mazzarella family. He sends 2500 euros a month to Paolo Ottaviano, through Arianna, Ottaviano's wife…”;

The Missos: “Di Caprio ran a drug dealing square in Anticaglia”

But not only because other repentants like Emiliano Zapata Misso just a few years ago he had declared: “…Thinking about the different places, I would like to point out that I know the identity of the owners but not that of the boys or the people involved in the dealing.
The squares I remember are the following: … omitted … – the cocaine one under Massimo’s Anticaglia in Capretta”.

Thesis confirmed by another excellent collaborator of justice such as Joseph Misso"
The cocaine square managed by Massimo a Capretta and his brother-in-law Daniele (I think his name is Capasso), under the Anticaglia, inside Massimo's house, on the first floor of the building where he lives; this square gave 500 euros a week".

Emblematic and very particular is a more recent story by a repentant like Maurizio Overa, a member of the top management of the Mariano clan of the Spanish Neighborhoods who speaking of Massimiliano Di Caprio says: “… We were in prison together. I know he had a pizzeria, in the Tribunali area, almost on the corner of Via Duomo. I met him when I was with …omissis… because on one occasion I sent him to the hospital. At the time he was married and had almost started a relationship with my partner’s daughter who was a child at the time. At the time I was doing some work and I smashed a brick over his head. I thought he was dead. Then I learned that he had recovered.

The repentant Maurizio Overa: “I smashed DiCaprio’s head with a brick because he was having an affair with my partner’s underage daughter”

Then I met him again in prison after many years and he even apologized to me... I think he was in prison for drugs at the time. We weren't in the same pavilion. I was in the Genoa pavilion, associates section and he was in Naples or Florence if I'm not mistaken. I also sent a message to my "fellow citizens" who were in prison in other sections for common crimes. The last time I saw him I went to eat a pizza at his place. I think it was 2014. ...I know he was the owner of the pizzeria but I can't say if he managed it or if he was the owner.

As far as I know, Di Caprio was interested in drugs. As far as I know, he was not connected to any clan… I know Di Caprio’s wife, but I don’t remember her name. I can’t say if his wife was connected to any clan. I’m sure that if they had been connected to any clan, I would have known. Because I frequented the area because Andrea Manna lived there. That was the Sibillo area…”.
