Changes to the train circulation schedule on the historic Naples line – Salerno (via Torre Annunziata Centrale) for extraordinary maintenance and infrastructure enhancement works.
Rail traffic will be suspended from 4 July to 2 September between the stations of Naples San Giovanni-Barra and Torre Annunziata Centrale/Castellamare di Stabia and in the periods from 4 to 6 July and from 28 to 30 August also between the stations of Torre Annunziata Centrale and Nocera Inferiore.
Therefore, some High Speed, Intercity, regional and metropolitan trains of Trenitalia (Leading Company of the Passenger Hub of the FS Italiane Group) will undergo deviations, limitations and/or cancellations of routes. In particular:
some AV and Intercity trains will be limited to Naples Central;
the connection to Pompeii, for those travelling aboard Frecciarossa, will be guaranteed with a FrecciaLink that departs from the Naples Afragola station and is directed both to Pompeii and to Sorrento.
some regional and metropolitan trains will be diverted to alternative or limited routes in the stations of Naples San Giovanni-Barra, Torre Annunziata Centrale, Nocera Inferiore. Bus service arranged on the interrupted routes.
The seats available on buses in circulation, which will increase their travel times also in relation to road traffic, may be less than the normal service offered. It is therefore advisable to consider replanning your trip.
Further information will be available on www.trenitalia.com (Infomobility section, on the Works and Changes to the service page) and via Smart Caring on the Trenitalia App.
