He felt hunted by the police and after about three months of being a fugitive he turned himself in to the Poggioreale prison. His young accomplice friend had already been arrested in the meantime.
These are two young Rolex robbers, PP and RG, aged 20 and 21 respectively, both from Naples, seriously suspected of aggravated robbery committed in collaboration with the use of a firearm.
The Naples mobile squad notified the two of the precautionary custody order issued by the Nola Prosecutor's Office.
The crime dates back to the evening of February 2, when the two, riding a scooter and with their faces covered by masks, approached a car parked outside a pizzeria in Volla.
Inside the car there was a young couple that the two criminals threatened with a sawn-off shotgun, stealing two Rolex watches from them.
The investigations, conducted by the Flying Squad of Napoli, started automatically, anticipating the complaint by the victims. Through the analysis of the footage from the premises' video surveillance system, the officers were able to identify the perpetrators of the crime, also reconstructing the route of the car used for the inspection and the escape, after abandoning the scooter.
The house searches allowed the discovery and seizure of the clothes worn during the robbery.
RG was arrested at dawn on March 25, while PP, initially untraceable, went into hiding by decree of the Court of Nola. The constant pressure of the investigators pushed him to turn himself in to the Poggioreale District Prison, where the Penitentiary Police executed the precautionary measure.
