A drug dealing square run by a family, initially active in Nocera Superiore and then moved to a house in Castel San Giorgio, in the Salerno area.
This is what was discovered by the Carabinieri of the Territorial Department of Nocera Inferiore who this morning executed an order for the application of precautionary measures against 8 people.
The order, issued by the investigating judge of the Court of Nocera Inferiore at the request of the Public Prosecutor's Office, resulted in 4 people being held in prison in custody, 2 with a ban on residing in Campania, one with a ban on residing in the municipality of Castel San Giorgio and one with an obligation to reside in Nocera Superiore.
Those arrested are accused of attempted extortion, possession and dealing of narcotics, possession and carrying of common firearms and war weapons, such as Kalashnikovs, crimes committed between June 2021 and July 2022. The operation took place in the municipalities of Nocera Superiore, Castel San Giorgio, Scafati and Nocera Inferiore in the province of Salerno, and in San Giuseppe Vesuviano in the province of Naples. The house where the drug dealing square was located in Castel San Giorgio was the home of some of those arrested.
The investigation began after the arrest in flagrante delicto of DMV, a 36-year-old from Nocera Superiore, found in possession of cocaine and hashish for a total weight of 22 grams, in addition to a sum of money suspected of being the proceeds of drug dealing. L
The central figure in the investigation was CE, a 52-year-old from Nocera Inferiore, but in fact resident between Castel San Giorgio and Nocera Superiore, held responsible for an extortion attempt to recover money from the sale of cocaine and crack, together with her partner.
After the first arrest, CE continued to manage the “traveling” drug dealing square, using his sons and operating in the municipalities of Nocera Superiore, Roccapiemonte, Castel San Giorgio, Mercato San Severino and Cava de' Tirreni. Some condominium members with no criminal record in Castel San Giorgio collaborated with the family, guarding, cutting and packaging the drugs to then distribute them.
The investigation led to several drug seizures, including 105 grams of cocaine, equivalent to 483 doses. Analysis of a seized smartphone revealed that one of the arrested individuals illegally possessed several firearms, including at least one Glock model 17 pistol and three Kalashnikov submachine guns.
