The Carabinieri of the station of arcade they arrested the 54-year-old from Naples, Gennaro Basile, already known to the police, for aggravated theft.
The man was caught red-handed while trying to force the shutter of a garage in via Zumbini, inside Parco Edera. The Carabinieri, engaged in a territorial control service, had been alerted by a call to 112.
Basile, already subject to the obligation to report to the judicial police and to reside in the Municipality of San Giorgio a Cremano, was caught in possession of burglary tools and stolen goods from two other boxes: two tennis rackets, a ping pong racket and a video camera with related accessories.
The goods were returned to their rightful owner, while the burglary tools were seized. The arrested person was transferred to prison awaiting trial.
