More violence in the nightlife squares of Naples. Yesterday evening in Piazza Vanvitelli, at Vomero, a fight broke out involving about ten young people who faced each other in the street armed with helmets and chairs recovered from bar tables.
The images were sent by some residents to the deputy of the Green Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli and to the radio host Gianni Simioli, denouncing the increasingly critical situation for the safety of the hilly neighborhood due to the continuous arguments and attacks that are recorded especially on weekends.
The nightlife in Vomero and the rest of the city is now out of control. Fights, attacks, stabbings break out everywhere. The protagonists are often very young people who, for trivial reasons, confront each other with unheard-of violence.
The lack of controls by the police creates a favorable terrain for these behaviors by violent people who increasingly feel the certainty of remaining unpunished. Against this degeneration we need tight controls especially at night and exemplary measures for those who leave home armed, under the influence of alcohol or drugs, and are the protagonists of scenes like those shown in the video.
The comment of the deputy Borrelli and Gianni Simioli highlights the need for urgent interventions to combat violence in the squares of the movida in Naples. The requests for more stringent controls and punitive measures for those responsible for acts of violence are the order of the day.
The safety of the Vomero hill district must be guaranteed to preserve the well-being and tranquility of residents and nightlife patrons.
It is clear that the increase in violence in the nightlife squares represents a serious threat to public safety. The institutions and competent authorities must take concrete actions to counter and prevent such episodes, ensuring a safer environment for citizens.
Collaboration between communities, law enforcement and local authorities is essential to restore tranquility and serenity in areas affected by acts of violence.
