Thirty-six names that have made the history of football, all on the field in Salerno for a great celebration of sport. The Operazione Nostalgia Rally, the historic community dedicated to all football fans, will be held on Saturday 8 June at the Arechi stadium, organized with the support of the Main Partner Planetwin365.News.
The event was presented today at the press conference at the Municipality of Salerno, with representatives of the administration, the organizers and some of the protagonists of the gathering, such as the former Roma player “Pluto” Aldair, Max Tonetto and the former Salernitana players Arturo Di Napoli and Luca Fusco. In the friendly match, 36 football champions who remain in the memories of the fans will take to the field, for a total of over 1.500 goals and 8.500 overall appearances in Serie A: among them, Javier Zanetti and Francesco Totti.
The Salerno Camp will also host two legends in the all-time Serie A top scorers ranking: Antonio Di Natale (sixth with 209 goals scored) and Francesco Totti, second with 250 goals. Three of the forwards featured in the camp have also won the league top scorer title (Francesco Totti, Totò Di Natale, David Trezeguet) and six of them have been world champions with three different national teams (Totti, Amelia, Barzagli, Aldair, Trezeguet and Candela).
The day in Salerno will be the first event of the season of Operazione Nostalgia and Planetwin365.News, which will continue on July 7 with the second meeting, this time scheduled at the “Silvio Piola” stadium in Novara. A double event to celebrate the tenth anniversary of ON and replicate the success of the 2023 edition, when 14 thousand fans from all over Italy flocked to Ferrara.
