The federal prosecutor announced today that he has referred Christian Diego Pastina, Francesco Forte, Gaetano Letizia and Enrico Brignola to the National Federal Court – Disciplinary Section. The decision comes following a report from the Benevento Public Prosecutor's Office.
According to an official note released today by the FIGC, the four players are accused of having placed bets, either directly or through intermediaries, on the results of official matches organised by the FIGC and foreign professional football championships.
The incriminated bets date back to the 2021/22 and 2022/23 sports seasons, and were placed both with authorized entities and on unauthorized platforms. At the time of the facts, Pastina and Letizia were registered with Benevento, Forte with Venezia, Benevento and Ascoli, while Brignola played for Benevento, Cosenza and Catanzaro.
