Once again, to Striano, a seizure is carried out in a local company for environmental crimes.
As has already happened in the past, the military of the Arma are intensifying the controls in the production plants near the Sarno river, in order to identify the environmental criticalities that have contributed to transforming this area into an ecological bomb over the years.
This latest discovery by law enforcement shows that there is still much to be done in terms of prevention, despite controls having been increased at the request of three prosecutors.
The environmental emergency persists throughout the territory. Many companies show little inclination to comply with environmental regulations, often for reasons related to costs. Consequently, between illegal landfills and unauthorized discharges, new critical issues continually emerge that damage the surrounding environment.
The recent discovery concerns a mountain of waste, promptly seized by the police. The control activities for the protection of the environment in the area of the Sarno river basin, conducted by the Carabinieri Forestale Group of Naples and called “Rebirth of the Sarno river”, continue incessantly.
In the municipality of Striano, the Roccarainola Forestry Carabinieri Unit reported a local man in his sixties, the legal representative of a commercial company, for the inadequate management of waste produced by the business, mainly consisting of canned goods and industrial waste.
