A new operation targeting drug and cell phone trafficking in prisons in Naples and Salerno, along with charges of drug dealing, attempted extortion, assault, illegal possession of weapons, and unauthorized access to communication devices by inmates, has been underway since dawn today.
The Carabinieri of the Nocera Inferiore territorial department , under the coordination of the Nocera Inferiore Public Prosecutor's Office, are carrying out a series of precautionary measures between the provinces of Salerno and Naples.
Among the recipients are also some prisoners. It is the umpteenth operation that involves people in prison and the demonstration of how in Italian penitentiaries everything enters illegally.
