Moments of tension on the Tuscan stretch of the A1 motorway, where groups of Juventus and Atalanta fans were heading towards Rome to watch the Coppa Italia final. The first confrontation took place at the Arno Ovest service area, where the Bergamo and Juventus ultras exchanged insults.
Fortunately, the massive presence of the police prevented the situation from degenerating into physical clashes. Shortly after, small scuffles broke out in the rest area in San Giovanni Valdarno, on the Arezzo section of the A1. However, the timely intervention of the police allowed the situation to be resolved before it could further deteriorate.
The police were on a war footing to prevent any kind of violence between the fans of the two teams, maintaining a constant presence along the highway and in the service areas. Despite the moments of tension, the fans then resumed their journey to the capital on board their respective buses.
