Fireworks, beams of light, and dozens of cars blocking the streets: a veritable illegal concert was organized outside the Secondigliano prison to celebrate the birthday of Tony Colombo , a neomelodic singer detained since last October for Camorra association.
An unacceptable initiative, according to the deputy of Alleanza Verdi – Sinistra Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who defines it as “a hymn to the underworld and an outrage to the State”. “How is it possible that all this happened undisturbed?”, asks Borrelli, asking that the organizers be identified and that light be shed on what happened.
The episode, filmed and shared on social media by Colombo's supporters, represents yet another confirmation of the singer's ties to organized crime, already denounced by Borrelli in the past.
“This show should be read as a clear challenge to the State, a message of impunity and abuse by the underworld,” concludes Borrelli, underlining the gravity of what happened and the need for decisive intervention by the authorities.
The episode sparked outrage among many citizens, who expressed solidarity with the police on social media and called for a strong response against those responsible.
It remains to be seen if and what measures will be taken against those who organized and participated in this illegal display of “affection” for Tony Colombo.
