Today, the Metropolitan Police officers led by Commander Lucia Rea at the home of Silmara Fabotti, who was placed under house arrest, found during a search some suitcases already packed and passports. A clear sign that the suspects were ready to flee abroad.
The gang falsified the residences, with the complicity of two officials, an employee and a traffic policeman in service at the municipality of Villaricca. Among the beneficiaries were footballers, television presenters, entrepreneurs and VIPs of Brazilian nationality.
Also during the house search at Silmara Fabotti's house, a secret drawer was discovered treasure of the woman composed of about eighty precious stones including emeralds, amethysts and aquamarines, for an estimated value of several million euros. But above all of the USB sticks on which there were certificates of possession of bitcoins for over 30 million pounds.
The disturbing investigative scenarios
The discovery of the huge treasure opens up disturbing investigative scenarios. With what money were those precious items bought? Were they trafficked? Were they resold? And if so, to whom? And above all, what international trafficking is hidden behind this investigation?
