The Functional Center of Civil Protection of the Campania Region has issued a criticality warning for a heat wave.
Starting from 14:19 pm tomorrow, Wednesday 66 June, and for a duration of approximately 20 hours, critical situations could occur. Maximum temperatures are expected which, in particular on Thursday 21 and Friday XNUMX June, could overcome the values seasonal averages of 5-6°C.
These temperatures will be accompanied by a humidity rate that, especially in the evening and night hours along the coastal sector, could exceed 60-70%, with conditions of poor ventilation.
The Civil Protection of Campania invites the competent local authorities for this reason "to implement its own procedures relating to the surveillance of vulnerable sections of the population" e "recommends avoiding going out during the hottest hours of the day, avoiding sun exposure or outdoor activities, and limiting travel by car.
Heart patients, the elderly, children and people at risk must pay particular attention. Always keep rooms properly ventilated. Make sure to stay hydrated by drinking water. Also pay attention to pets.
