The Naples local police, with personnel from the Scampia operational unit, made a significant seizure of mussels being sold illegally on a sidewalk in Via Bakù, in the Scampia neighborhood.
The mussels, exposed to the elements without any protection, were sold by a street vendor without a health permit.
Authorities have cited several violations, including the lack of a health permit for public sale, which carries a €5.000 fine.
Violations of the ban on selling food in high-traffic areas without adequate protection, occupation of public land without a permit, and failure to pay the fee for occupying public spaces were also found.

In another operation, the police identified and reported a Neapolitan citizen who was illegally occupying the former accommodation of the caretaker of a local market on Via Ghisleri.
The individual was asked to leave the property and, once the administrative investigations were completed, the eviction order would be enforced.
Furthermore, thanks to a report from citizens, an illegal construction site was identified in the area of Chiaiano, where the construction of a building of approximately 75 square meters, divided into two rooms, was underway, without any building permit
The person responsible was identified and reported, and the structure was seized. The municipal technical office was informed for further administrative action.
