Angri. The Carabinieri have arrested two people accused of the murder of Mario Carotenuto, the 35-year-old man found dead Sunday morning in Angri. They are a 40-year-old local businessman and his 30-year-old Romanian co-worker.
The investigation, coordinated by the Nocera Inferiore Public Prosecutor's Office, revealed a punitive motive. According to investigators, Carotenuto had engaged in harassing behavior toward customers and employees of several establishments in the historic center on Saturday evening.
This behavior would have triggered the anger of the two alleged killers, who would have planned and carried out the deadly ambush.
