Naples. A dramatic turn of events in the investigation into the death of 16-year-old footballer Antonio Milo, which occurred in a tragic road accident on Wednesday, May 29 in Scampia.
The Naples Public Prosecutor's Office, Dr. Maria Sofia Cozza, has registered both drivers involved in the accident, GI, a 36-year-old from Melito, and AF, a 25-year-old from Portici, as suspects for road homicide.
According to initial reconstructions, the 16enne, riding his Honda Sh 125 scooter, was travelling along Via Roma in the direction of Scampia when, at the Ip petrol station, he overtook a Fiat Panda driven by GI.
The Panda, in turn, apparently turned left at the same moment the scooter was approaching, causing the collision. Following the collision, Milo's motorcycle ended up in the oncoming lane, where it was hit by a Ford Ka driven by AF. The young man died instantly.
The autopsy and the investigations
The Public Prosecutor has ordered an autopsy on the victim's body to determine the cause of death and shed light on the dynamics, causes, and all responsibilities for the accident.
