Monitoring by Arpa Campania confirms normal values for pollutants.
Despite the fiery fires that hit Aversa and Naples last June 19, the analyses by Arpa Campania reassure us about the air quality.
Aversa:
The flames affected a warehouse of plumbing and sanitary materials, also destroying several cars in the adjacent parking lot.
The monitoring stations of Teverola, Aversa – Scuola Cirillo and the mobile laboratory already present in Teverola did not detect anomalies in the concentrations of pollutants immediately after the fire.
Further analyses for dioxins and furans are underway and the results will be released shortly.
Naples:
Even in the capital of Campania, a large-scale fire has affected the hill of Camaldoli the same day.
The city's fixed monitoring stations have not detected any pollution peaks.
Pm10:
The exceeding of the daily concentration limit of PM10 recorded on June 20 is attributable to a natural phenomenon, namely an exceptional influx of Saharan dust.
The immediate action of extinguishing the fires and the activation of the monitoring by Arpa Campania have made it possible to avoid the risk of damage to public health.
The data confirms that the air in Aversa and Naples has returned to normal quality levels.
Arpa Campania remains vigilant and will continue to monitor the situation to ensure the safety of citizens.
