The serial rapist of May 8 has been arrested: Simone Borgese, the 39-year-old who in 2015 was arrested and convicted for raping a taxi driver under a viaduct on the Rome-Fiumicino highway, has ended up in handcuffs again. It was the same day.
This time he is suspected of having abused, on May 8, a student who he had tricked into getting into his car. Borgese allegedly approached a bus stop in Magliana, pretending he was looking for an address.
He allegedly convinced the victim to accompany him after taking her cell phone with the excuse of having to make a phone call. The young woman, frightened and scared, was taken to an isolated and unknown area, where she was forced to undergo a violence. Borgese then returned the smartphone to the girl, accompanying her back to the vicinity of Villa Bonelli.
The modus operandi is similar to that used in 2015
The investigators, based on the information and descriptions provided by the victim, conducted an intense investigation, also viewing the images from the city video surveillance system present along the route taken by the man.
The modus operandi was very similar to the one used in 2015, when Borgese forced a taxi driver to take him to a countryside area and, threatening her, demanded oral sex.
