The site, approximately 300 square meters in size, is located on the busy Corso Salvatore d'Amato, where several tons of various types of waste were dumped. The discovery was made following ongoing monitoring of the area.
The operation was part of the targeted activities carried out by the local police to combat environmental crimes.
At the conclusion of the operations by the same, seals were placed on the area and a report was sent to the Public Prosecutor's Office at the Court of Naples North with the illegal landfill, which was supposed to be cleaned up at the expense of a well-known transport company (also owner of the adjacent area) restoring decorum to one of the city's points.
But since then, no action has been taken and the spills are still ongoing.
