Convened by the Prefect of Naples, Michele di Bari, a meeting was held at the Government Palace to discuss the regulatory changes introduced by the interministerial decree of April 11, 2024. The decree, issued by the Minister of Infrastructure and Transport in collaboration with the Minister of the Interior, concerns the placement and use of devices for detecting traffic violations.

Representatives of the Local Police of the Municipality of Naples, the Metropolitan City of Naples and the Metropolitan City of Naples participated in the meeting. Naples, of the Provincial Command of the Carabinieri, of the Highway Police, of the ACI, of the Anas, of the Tangenziale SpA Company, of the Autostrade IV Napoli Cassino Company and of the SPN Spa Naples-Pompei-Salerno Management.

During the meeting, the differences between the old and new regulations were examined, with a focus on the interventions needed to comply with the recent provisions. The representatives of the Prefecture invited the road owners to carefully classify the arteries under their jurisdiction and to review the speed limits currently in force, in order to facilitate the implementation of the new regulations.

Furthermore, a review of the existing violation detection devices has been requested to ensure their adaptation within one year, as required by the decree. The Prefectural Table will monitor the planned verification and adaptation activities, ensuring that all measures are implemented effectively and promptly.
