Avellino. Yesterday evening, the Fire Brigade team from the Grottaminarda detachment intervened in a serious road accident in the municipality of Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi, along the Strada Statale 400 at Km. 29,400.
The accident involved a single car, which skidded, struck a low wall, and overturned several times. The driver, a 26-year-old man from Torella Dei Lombardi, was crushed under the vehicle.
Despite the rapid intervention of the 118 team and paramedics, the young man was declared dead.

The Avellino Highway Police, the Sant'Angelo dei Lombardi Local Police and the Carabinieri of the local station also intervened on the scene.
