UAn 80-year-old man was found lifeless and half-charred in his home in Frigento, in the province of Avellino.
The elderly man was found in the bedroom, where a fire presumably broke out. The Carabinieri of the Mirabella Eclano Company promptly intervened on the scene, along with the Fire Department and the 118 health workers.
As soon as they received the report, the local authorities mobilized to immediately go to the scene of the accident. The Carabinieri of the Mirabella Eclano Company started the first investigative procedures to collect all the elements useful for the reconstruction of the event.
The intervention of the Fire Brigade was necessary to secure the area and put out the fire that engulfed the bedroom.
According to initial reconstructions, the fire developed in the man's bedroom. The causes of thefire are still being investigated, and the authorities are working to clarify the details and verify whether there are any responsibilities or whether it was a tragic accident.
