Workplace accident in Avellino. A 47-year-old local man was hit by a beam while carrying out demolition work on a ruin on his property located in Contrada Bagnoli. According to initial reports, the man was engaged in demolition work when an apparently unstable beam collapsed.
Fortunately, the 47-year-old managed to move partially, avoiding potentially lethal consequences. However, the beam hit his right leg and foot, causing serious injuries. The screams of pain immediately attracted the attention of his family, who were near the ruin.
The family members intervened promptly, providing first aid and calling 118. The man was quickly transported to the nearest hospital, where doctors immediately assessed the severity of the injuries. Surgery was required to stabilize the affected leg and foot. After the operation, the 47-year-old was transferred to the orthopedic department for monitoring and rehabilitation. His condition is serious, but fortunately his life is not in danger.
