Naples. A new video shows the critical situation in Piazza Dante, where scooter-riding baby gangs infest the pedestrian area, openly challenging the police and putting citizens' safety at risk.
The video, sent to the Green Left MP Francesco Emilio Borrelli, shows dozens of scooters speeding among pedestrians, ignoring the presence of Carabinieri patrols nearby.
“In recent weeks, Piazza Dante has become the scene of dangerous and uncontrolled activity by young gangs who, riding their scooters, defy the police and threaten anyone who dares to reprimand them.
This behavior fuels a growing sense of impunity among these young delinquents, who feel they are the undisputed masters of the square. Their audacity knows no bounds, and their reckless evolutions seriously endanger the safety of children and families who frequent the area.
A decisive and constant intervention is essential to stop this phenomenon before the irreparable happens. It is necessary to re-establish legality and respect for the rules in a square that must be returned to the citizens”.
These are the words of the deputy Borrelli, who draws attention to a problem that requires immediate and resolute action.
