Salerno. Three people hit by precautionary measures and over 6 million euros seized for fraudulent bankruptcy and failure to pay withholdings.

This morning, the Salerno Financial Police executed an order from the city prosecutor's office, seizing assets worth more than €6 million and placing three suspects under personal precautionary measures.

Giovanni Attanasio (64 years old), de facto director of the bankrupt company Lavoro.Doc, is under house arrest.
Sergio La Rocca (56 years old) and Alfonso Magliacano (47 years old), former directors of the same company, have been banned from running businesses and holding management positions for one year.
The charges brought against them by the Prosecutor's Office concern:

Fraudulent bankruptcy: diversion of sums of money for over 3,4 million euros from the bankruptcy estate.
Bankruptcy preferential: payments in favor of some creditors to the detriment of others.
Failure to pay withholding taxes: failure to pay over €2,7 million in withholding taxes due.
The investigation, conducted by the financial police, shed light on an alleged "proven modus operandi" characterized by:

Cash withdrawals.
Subtraction of financial resources without valid economic reasons.
Failure to collect credits of significant amounts claimed by Lavoro.Doc from other companies attributable to Attanasio.
According to investigators, these actions would have aggravated the company's financial crisis and caused its bankruptcy.

The aggravating circumstances

The investigation also highlighted the "systematic failure to comply with tax obligations," aimed at worsening the company's insolvency, and the failure to pay withholding taxes based on tax returns.

The investigating judge, at the prosecutor's request, ordered precautionary measures to "prevent the repetition of criminal conduct and safeguard evidence."
