The 1st Section of the Court of Appeal of Naples, accepting the arguments of the lawyer Vittorio Fucci, has acquitted the well-known criminal Pietro Cuozzo, 57 years old, and the multiple criminal Ettore Cuozzo, 36 years old, from the charges of attempted aggravated extortion and illegal introduction of animals onto someone else's land.
In the first instance, the Court of Benevento had sentenced Pietro and Ettore Cuozzo to 3 years and 4 months of imprisonment. The facts at issue in the trial occurred in Airola in 2020 and were brought to the attention of the authorities following a complaint by the victims.
Today, the 1st Section of the Court of Appeal of Naples has reformed the first instance sentence and acquitted Peter Cuozzo and Ettore Cuozzo, accepting the defense arguments of the lawyer Fucci.
