Support for the evacuees of the Campi Flegrei earthquake: the Campania Region defines the contributions

The Campania Region has established contributions for the independent accommodation of those displaced following the 4.4 magnitude earthquake that struck the Campi Flegrei on May 20.
Who is entitled to the contributions:
Households whose principal, habitual and continuous residence has been destroyed in whole or in part, or has been evacuated by order of the competent authorities.
Amount of contributions:
- Single-family unit: 400 euros per month
Nucleus with 2 members: 500 euros per month
Nucleus with 3 members: 700 euros per month
Nucleus with 4 members: 800 euros per month
Household with 5 or more members: 900 euros per month
Increase for people with disabilities:
For each member of the household over the age of 65, handicapped or disabled with a disability equal to or greater than 67%, an additional contribution of 200 euros per month is foreseen.
Duration of contribution:
The economic benefits are paid starting from the date of vacating the property or evacuation, and until it is possible to return to the home or a stable accommodation has been found. The maximum duration of the contribution is 6 months.
Exclusions:
The contribution is not foreseen if the municipal administration provides free accommodation.
The contribution cannot be combined with accommodation in hotel facilities paid by the Municipality. In this case, the contribution starts from the date of exit from the hotel facility.
Procedures for requesting the contribution:
Municipalities are responsible for processing applications, monitoring requirements and providing contributions, after checking documentation. For more information, contact your Municipality.
With this measure, the Campania Region intends to offer concrete support to families affected by the earthquake, guaranteeing them the possibility of independently providing for their own accommodation during the emergency period.
