Residents of Bacoli and Pozzuoli skipped the first evacuation drill due to the bradyseism phenomenon. According to initial data, only three hundred people signed up for the exercise, and just under fifty showed up at the waiting areas set up by the Civil Protection Department.
"Citizens are still dealing with the emergency, perhaps that's why they didn't participate in today's exercise. We have a duty to do them and we will continue. Never before has a prevention and information activity like we are doing now been carried out," commented the mayor of Pozzuoli, Luigi Manzoni, on the sidelines of the exercise.
