Cardito. Carabinieri of the Crispano Station arrested a 38-year-old from Afragola, Umberto Di Chiara, on charges of attempted aggravated theft in a school.
The intervention. On the night between June 3rd and 4th, around 2:00 a.m., the military was patrolling Via Castiello in Cardito when they heard an alarm coming from the Emilio Sereni Art School.
The arrest. The Carabinieri intervened promptly, climbing over the fence and entering the school building. Inside, they caught Di Chiara, already known to the police, attempting to steal money from a drinks dispenser.

The Carabinieri arrested Di Chiara and seized the burglary tools used in the theft. He was placed at the disposal of the judicial authorities pending trial.
