Ischia. The Carabinieri of the Ischia company intervened tonight at the emergency room of the Rizzoli hospital after a 25-year-old from Barano d'Ischia presented himself with injuries caused by the explosion of a firecracker.

Initial investigations revealed that the man, in the company of two other friends aged 24 and 27 from Ischia, was setting off firecrackers in a wooded area in the Fondo d'olio area in the municipality of Casamicciola Terme.

Rescued by the 118 health workers, the young man was transported in reserved prognosis to the Cardarelli hospital in Naples. His conditions are not serious.

The three friends, all with no criminal record, will be charged with setting off and launching dangerous explosions in concert.
