Casavatore. The Carabinieri of the local station and the Operations Section of the Casoria Company intervened this morning in via Circonvallazione Esterna 41, where a family fight had been reported.
According to initial reports, it appears that shortly before, a violent argument had occurred between a 66-year-old woman and her 44-year-old relative.
During the argument, the 44-year-old allegedly hit the 66-year-old on the head with a wrench, before walking away.
Rescued by 118 paramedics, the victim was transported in red code to the Frattamaggiore Hospital, where she underwent surgery.
Economic motives behind the violent fight between the two women
At the end of the investigation, coordinated by the Prosecutor's Office of Naples North, the Carabinieri tracked down and arrested the 44-year-old on charges of attempted murder.
According to initial hypotheses, the causes of the dispute are due to economic reasons.
The arrested woman, with no criminal record and resident in the area, is now under house arrest awaiting trial. The victim is still hospitalized with a reserved prognosis.
