Caserta. The State Police has been searching for the fugitive since this morning Louis Belvedere, wanted since 2020 after escaping an operation that dismantled a group that for years sold cocaine, crack and hashish in Caserta and its province and in the Neapolitan hinterland.
The drug was purchased mainly in Caivano, in the drug dealing square of the Green Park. Last week, Belvedere was given a final 19-year prison sentence for drug trafficking; according to some rumors, he was abroad in Colombia and may have returned.
A helicopter from the Naples Flight Department also took part in the search. The investigations by the Naples DDA had led to the discovery of an organization that had in San Clemente neighborhood of Caserta, a real refinery for the preparation, packaging and marketing of drugs, and which saw Belvedere, 32 years old, as the head of the group.
With the company drug trafficker Gaetano Ferrante (4 years, 11 months and 19 days of imprisonment), Salvatore Piscitelli (5 years and 19 days of imprisonment) and Vincenzo De Lucia (1 year, 11 months and 28 days of imprisonment) were also definitively sentenced.
