Caserta. A team of Caserta Firefighters intervened this evening, around 20:00, on Mount Tifata, in the municipality of San Prisco, to rescue two hikers in difficulty.
The hikers had found themselves in difficulty after one of them had fallen and injured himself. The Fire Brigade, together with the personnel of 118 and the Soccorso Alpino Campano, reached the two hikers on the top of the mountain.
After stabilizing the injured man, a 118 helicopter was called to transport him to the Ospedale del Mare in Naples for treatment.
The rescue operation was complex due to the rugged terrain and darkness. The firefighters once again demonstrated their professionalism and commitment to saving lives.
