Castellammare. The Castellammare di Stabia Police Station has executed a pre-trial detention order against a man deemed a serious suspect in the crime of aggravated residential burglary.
The episode dates back to April 5th when, during the night, an unknown person entered a garage in via Benedetto Croce in Castellammare di Stabia and stole a scooter parked and regularly closed.
The immediate investigations, started by the officers of the Police Station, allowed, already the following morning, to trace the vehicle and return it to its rightful owner.
Careful review of images from video surveillance systems in the area, combined with careful comparison with other images acquired during the investigation, allowed investigators to identify the alleged perpetrator of the theft.
The man, identified, was located and arrested. At the direction of the Torre Annunziata Public Prosecutor's Office, he was taken to the Poggioreale prison.
