Naples. Two hooded bandits attempted to break down the shutter of a hamburger joint in Chiaiano, causing extensive damage.

The episode occurred last night, in via Emilio Scaglione. The thieves, after having failed in their intent, fled, but destroyed the entrance to the premises and a surveillance camera.
The owners, already victims of a home seizure a year ago, report the unsafe situation and ask for the citizens' help.
“We are tired of living in terror”, say the owners, who filed a complaint with the police. “We want to make public what happened to us in the hope that someone saw something and can help us identify the culprits.”

Deputy Francesco Emilio Borrelli of the Green-Left Alliance sides with the shopkeepers and denounces the lack of safety in the neighborhood.
“The outburst of these traders is absolutely understandable,” says Borrelli. “People live in fear, both for their safety and for their work sacrifices. The criminals act undisturbed, while the Checks are insufficient.”
Borrelli calls for an increase in the number of officers on the territory to combat crime.
“A decisive intervention by the authorities is necessary to guarantee the safety of citizens,” concludes Borrelli. “We need an increase in the number of agents on the territory and a greater presence of the police.”
The appeal of the owners of the hamburger joint is addressed to anyone who has useful information for identify those responsible of the attempted assault.
Anyone who may have seen something or has useful information is asked to contact the police or contact the owners of the premises directly.
