Rail traffic along a section of the Naples-Sarno Circumvesuviana line has been suspended due to technical problems at the Pollena station. The announcement was made by the Ente Autonomo Volturno (EAV), which explained the service changes in an official statement.
According to EAV, "due to technical problems at Pollena station, trains departing from Naples will be limited to cercola, while trains departing from Sarno will limit their service to Sant'Anastasia". The situation has caused considerable inconvenience for commuters and travellers who use this railway line daily for their journeys.
The suspension of service led to an immediate increase in transportation options. Replacement bus services were established to connect the affected stations, attempting to alleviate the impact on passengers. However, the influx of travelers led to delays and overcrowding, further exacerbating the situation.
