Naples. Aambulance used for the party of inaugurazione of a clothing store: this is one of the shocking episodes contained in the over 480 pages of the precautionary order signed by the investigating judge of Naples Federica Coluccio, which reveals the power of the Contini Camorra clan at the San Giovanni Bosco hospital.
The facts date back to March 2023. An ambulance with sirens blaring speeds along Corso Umberto in Naples, destination a newly opened store, “Amk”. From that vehicle the “guests” of honor get off: neomelodic singers and tiktokers, invited to the inauguration.
The episode has been documented in all the chronicles of Naples and online information sites as well as by the deputy of the Green and Left Alliance Francesco Emilio Borrelli, who denounced the improper use of an ambulance that with its sirens blaring traveled along Corso Umberto in Naples, stopping in front of a shop.
The investigation allowed us to reconstruct the involvement of Gennaro Manetta, a 45-year-old nicknamed “Maradona”, believed to be a member of the Contini clan with the role of cashier and person in charge of distributing salaries (“le mesate”).
The ordinance reconstructs the contacts between Manetta and Raffaele Colella, sole director of “Amk srl”. Colella, in the company of tiktokers Francesco Ciotola announces the inauguration to Manetta and asks him to rent an ambulance, specifying the reason for the singular request.
Manetta takes action to please Colella, contacting Maurizio Scapolatiello, owner of the private ambulance company “Croce San Luca”. According to a collaborator of justice, it is “a private company that is not part of the hospital and cannot park inside”, but that the Contini clan has favored, “allowing it to park inside the hospital spaces” and “offering support inside the emergency room”.
The ambulance episode is just the tip of the iceberg. The order describes a real system of infiltration and favors within the hospital, with the Contini clan exploiting the ambulances for their own illicit interests, creating a climate of fear and subjugation.
In addition to the wiretaps, which were fundamental to the investigation, the timely revelations of numerous informants, some of whom were members of the Contini clan itself, were also crucial.
