The Carabinieri of the Sant'Antimo branch, in collaboration with the labor inspectorate of Naples, reported a 53-year-old textile entrepreneur, originally from Bangladesh, following checks on safety in the workplace. The inspection took place in a textile factory located in via Grazia Deledda, where numerous irregularities were found.
The work environments did not meet the requirements set by the legislation, the tools were not adequately maintained and the employees had not received the necessary training. Of the eight workers present in total, only 3 were regularly employed with a contract.
Following these violations, the activity was immediately suspended and fines totalling over 50 thousand euros were applied. This operation in Sant'Antimo underlines the importance of continuous checks to ensure safety in the workplace and compliance with current laws.
