Naples. This morning, a massive patrol was carried out in Piazza Garibaldi, Porta Nolana, and surrounding areas, as part of a joint operation between several law enforcement agencies.
The operation, coordinated by the Vicariate-Mercato Police Station, involved the Carabinieri, Guardia di Finanza, personnel from the ASL Napoli 1 Centro, Railway Police, Mobile Unit and Metropolitan Police.
During the raid, 121 people were identified, one of whom was reported to the Judicial Authorities for possession of narcotic substances.
In addition, 41 vehicles were checked, one of which was administratively seized, and several violations of the Highway Code were contested.
The officers also carried out Checks on 8 commercial establishments, issuing 20 prescriptions and 11 administrative sanctions for a total of approximately 18.000 euros.
The operation led to the seizure of 4,760 kg of foreign manufactured tobacco and 49 grams of hashish.
The intervention of the police forces is part of the activities aimed at ensuring safety and urban decorum in the areas of the city most affected by the phenomenon of illegal building and petty crime.
